Hey Ski Hill Fans! We are doing a logo refresh but before we do, we thought we would do a T-shirt run of our current design. Does anyone remember the classic "Fastest T in the West" t-shirts? Who would be interested in one for Christmas? SHOUT OUT: if you have a picture of this fabulous classic - would you post a photo of it for us? THANKS! ...

SKI HILL AGM!
Thank you to those that came out last night to the ski hill AGM!
Despite not being able to open last winter due to lack of snow, the club was extremely active and took the time to complete much needed maintenance projects and upgrades to the lift.

Fun fondue nights and fantastic Mexican night feasts
Hosted the awards night for Brett Turcotte
Annual April Burger and Beer night was fantastic
May Ball Tournament and Dance
We completed some upgrades to help the lodge shine and we are now very pleased to be a strong choice of wedding venue. Thanks to Ben, the new benches create a beautiful rustic appeal that highlights the lodge. We were glad to welcome new brides and grooms but also provide a venue for the Kayak Festival, latin dance nights and the September Harvest Feast and Dance.
Thanks for the fundraising, the following projects were completed
-front stairs repaired
-roof leaks and kitchen vents fixed
-new cedar poles for the outdoor deck and covering
-lift upgrades completed
-dance floor refurbished
-scraping of runs 1 and 3
A big surprise was when we received the $ 15000 from the Sikh Society Temple, we are so grateful for it, what an incredible gesture!
Our annual work bee doing wood went fast as we had quite a few volunteers coming out and helping! Doug Borrow and the 5 graders operators volunteered their time scraping run 1 and 3 on the hill. Directors and volunteers came out picking rocks and we invited the Grad of 2020 for more picking rocks. Directors worked to smooth the T-line by clearing the rocks and extra brush. Work was done on run 1 and 3 with the excavator and seeding the T-line and hill from Trans Mountain Pipeline.
We took the T-bars down and did some work on those. Summit Lift came up working 4 days on the T-bar lift, volunteers were helping with the cable splicing.
Overall we had a really busy year organizing and volunteering!
For this coming season I'm sure we all would like some snow so we can open our fastest T in the west!
We have started planning our social events and some great fundraisers. Stay tuned :)
We like to welcome our new directors Stephanie Molina, Alexis Pearce, Amber Horne and Shelley Sim! We thank our long time directors Jf Labranche and Jeff Lamond for many years of volunteering. Thank you to Adam Forsyth, Crystal Merwin, Alex Arduini and Rick Allen, we are sure we'll see them back helping out where they can! With Cory Jensen, Ben Bergeron, Agneta Orum, Tanya Chapman and Daniela Wiunig our board is looking forward to an exciting year.
